EMT and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Course

The program at Faithful Guardian Training Center - South Metro, combines emergency medical technician and AEMT into a complete course of study. The 12-month program covers anatomy and physiology, initial patient survey and triage, airway management, oxygen therapy, and treatment of bleeding, shock, cardiac arrest, fractures, spinal injuries and other medical emergencies. Additional areas of study include automated external defibrillation, multi-lumen airways, IV access, and general pharmacology.

This course is designed for anyone interested in working in public safety, including fire, police, and ambulance operations. Students who successfully complete these programs are eligible to take the national registry examination necessary for state licensure. Call us today.

Enrollment requirements

• 18 years old by the end of course completion
• No felony convictions (if any questions, call the office)
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid driver's license

Immunization status

You are required to have the following immunizations before clinicals begin (you may start the course without them.)

• Current negative PPD-T (Tuberculosis/TB test)
• Positive history of Varicella Zoster (Chicken Pox) or vaccine, plus titer
• Proof of Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver
• Flu vaccine
• Tdap - x2
• Proof of MMR
• Hepatitis B Series x3 started (or proof of Series)
• Adacel vaccination

The cost of the EMT/AEMT program is $4,450 (includes AEMT Bible, and lab fees) with a $300 non-refundable registration fee.
